Today, the face-to-face six-month meeting of the IMAGINE Project was held in Barcelona, marking the last consortium gathering before tomorrow’s Final Conference.

In the presence of the main representatives from the eight participating countries, the different work packages (WPs) not only reported on the key milestones achieved throughout the three years of IMAGINE, but also highlighted the benefits gained from the project and identified potential areas for improvement based on the experience acquired during this period.

The high level of engagement from long-term care facilities was also emphasised, as well as the strong networking established among all partners involved.

Also, representatives from the eight countries expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with IMAGINE and shared the main results achieved in their respective territories.

In addition, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, responsible for WP5, presented the methodology used to calculate the economic impact, while WP6, in charge of IMAGINE’s dissemination, outlined the communication activities carried out over the past three years. These include the project website, where all materials can be accessed—articles, news, interviews, tools, videos, and more—as well as the impact generated by the press conference held on 18 November in Madrid.

A discussion was then held to determine the best way to ensure continuity of the IMAGINE project and to apply the measures that have proven effective. In this regard, the IMAGINE team agreed that long-term care facilities should be able to choose their preferred level of involvement, ranging from a basic tools kit to medium-use and more comprehensive options. All this information is already available on the IMAGINE project website.

Beyond this initiative, the consortium will also explore the possibility of translating the website into the various languages of the participating countries to support more local dissemination, as well as developing a short training programme or webinar for interested facilities.

To remain connected and monitor the evolution of the project, members expressed their interest in continuing to meet in order to strengthen networking and potentially explore ways of implementing IMAGINE’s successful methodology in future initiatives.

The meeting will continue tomorrow with the Final Conference, during which the results publicly presented at the press conference held on 18 November in Madrid will be showcased.
