Healthcare professionals and nursing home representatives take part in a key session to learn about the latest APO and IPC results and explore the next steps to be taken in Crete.
On October 16, the Greek team of the European IMAGINE project met in Chania, hosted by a participating nursing home. The team — comprising Prof. Christos Lionis, Dr. Marilena Anastasaki, and Greta Tsoulchai — engaged with participants and discussed the project’s progress, challenges, and opportunities, particularly in strengthening infection prevention and control (IPC) and promoting the rational use of antibiotics (APO).
Following this, on November 4, a second meeting took place in Heraklion, organized by another participating nursing home. During this session, the team presented the results from the first and second APO and IPC registrations. Participants highly valued the progress achieved and provided feedback that underscored the significance of the work conducted.
Together, these meetings enhanced local engagement, facilitated the exchange of experiences, and supported the planning of the next steps to ensure the continuation of IMAGINE in Crete.
