On October 18 and 19, 2023, Navarre (Spain) served as a meeting point for representatives of the European Union who discussed antimicrobial resistance and how to address this public health issue from a One Health perspective. The activity was organized by the Spanish National Plan against AMR (PRAN).
Recently, a document has been published summarizing the conclusions of this event, reviewing all the activities held during it, and highlighting key messages presented by different experts in the field of antimicrobial resistance and antibiotics.
One of the conclusions emphasizes the importance of international collaboration to exchange knowledge, experiences, and practices across sectors, forming a global strategy to effectively combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Regulatory agencies worldwide play a crucial role in combating AMR and contributing to global solutions. In this context, it is worth mentioning that IMAGINE project serves as an exemplary model, being driven by professionals from various European countries and focusing on 8 target countries: Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Denmark.
