At the recent 20th EuGMS Congress held in Valencia from September 18 to 20, Ana García, Scientific Project Manager of the IMAGINE Project, had the opportunity to present the progress of our project aimed at training nursing home staff in different countries.
Ana García explained the methodology of IMAGINE, particularly focusing on the development of the training tools and workshops, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which involves participants from the design phase to the implementation, ensuring that the tools developed meet the real needs of the group being studied. This methodology guarantees that the solutions are practical and effective for nursing home staff. In IMAGINE, this approach is being led by Jette Nygaard Jensen and her amazing team at the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark, and all country coordinators have applied it with their participants, ensuring the adaptation to national conditions.
Our Scientific Project Manager expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the 20th EuGMS Congress for the opportunity: “Thank you for inviting us to present IMAGINE. It was wonderful to have the opportunity of explaining how the IMAGINE tools have been developed and that we are going to use them this next month with our participants. It was also enlightening to hear about other ways of transferring the knowledge gained through the projects into clinical practice with the other two projects.”
The presentation of our project generated great interest and numerous interactions. ¡We hope to establish future collaborations with all of you!
